Navigating Criticism: My Poem Experience

I tested a new poem at the local literature group and the chair was scathing. He’s a mate so I let it go. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but the rules expect polite criticism.

I worked on it and submitted it to spillwords.com to test it further. Today, 3.30 ET or 7.30 in the UK, 8.30 MEZ it’s to be published and published under their <featured posts> as recognising the merit of my work.

None of this means my friend was wrong. I know The Rain Men isn’t his kinda thing. It’s political and I let the imagery run away with me – we all like to have a good time with words.

But, to the point. Please take a look at The Rain Men, and don’t be afraid to let me know what you think. To quote a famous source. If you can’t take the heat, stay out the kitchen.
