Sewing machines

Name the most expensive personal item you’ve ever purchased (not your home or car).

I don’t know how many. I had a sum of money and was told, at a purchase power of 15:1 it would be enough to equip a trading/training workshop.

I paid, the bank took so much in charges that it was no longer enough for the sewing machines.

I can’t remember how we resolved that one. I do know the bank didn’t help.

As far as I know, 20 years on, they are still sewing.

Best purchase I ever made and I’ve never seen them, my machines.

One might argue, it wasn’t a personal purchase. It was to me, and to the families for whom they created an income.
